OYO 14811 Hotel Royal Monarch

Parking was about 500 meters from the hotel, along a busy road only 4 meters wide. The front sign was just a 4x2 ft hoarding on a busy street. The Airbnb house rules said "PETS ARE ALLOWED." I had already told the HOTEL OWNER/HOST I was bringing a pet, but he never mentioned an extra charge. At check-in, he asked me for 250₹. He waited until I'd arrived in a new city, tired and vulnerable, before bringing it up. He also said he would cancel the booking so I could get a refund, but didn't. That felt like dishonest conduct from the host.

The food was awesome, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Service was good too, they went out of their way to help. I didn't book through OYO, though, so it's weird that they'll reply to this review.

I was there for one night with my little son. We checked in late, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed. Maybe the fake reviews are what brought me here. The place seemed dirty underneath the recent paint, and the smells together made a disgusting mix. A new flat TV and fresh paint don't justify the high price. The staff were indifferent, and their huge dog barked all night in the lobby and kept staring at us. Just look at the photos.

The staff were cooperative, and the cleanliness was good. Service was just okay, but the stay wasn't horrible. The room was small, had little ventilation, and the taps were old. There was no internet, and some of the hotel staff seemed unprofessional. It's in a very old, crowded area.
