Hotel Ivory Inn

Breakfast could have more options, since the selection was a bit limited. Apart from that, things were well managed and satisfying. Hotel Ivory Inn is right in Park Street, which made it easy to explore nearby attractions and eateries. The stay was very comfortable, largely thanks to the warm, exceptionally courteous staff, from security and reception to the person who helped with our luggage.

The courteous guards and the location were the only good parts. Traffic and commuters made the street noisy, and some window panes were cracked or broken. We booked a twin bed room after calling to confirm it was available, but were given a double bed at check-in. It took six requests before staff moved us to a room with twin beds, even though they had one available. During our three-night stay with a friend, we also had to ask repeatedly for water bottles on days 2 and 3 and weren't given any. Breakfast came to the room when staff chose, with no real choice, no tea or coffee unless we followed up three times, and they set the time themselves. The rooms were in poor condition, so don't be fooled by the online pictures. Easily one of my worst hotel stays, due to staff carelessness and mismanagement. Avoid it at all costs.

The hotel goes by Hotel Ivory and is also listed as FabHotel Prime Goodwill, which I found misleading. That mismatch raises serious concerns for me about FabHotels' quality control and property onboarding standards. The room upkeep and hygiene were poor, the intercom didn't work, and service was painfully slow. After three requests and more than an hour, I still had no basic bottle of water. Breakfast was below expectations too. The service was unacceptable and not what I'd expect from the brand. I wouldn't recommend it.

The building seemed in better shape than nearby lodges at a similar price, and the location is prime. Nearby old buildings have dampness, though. Security and reception were polite and helpful, but housekeeping was a bit slow. The room was spacious and clean, and the washroom and sink were well maintained. The AC did leak water onto the floor.
