I found this place awful. The rooms were dirty, and the bathroom taps and toilet flush didn't work. The TV was out too. There is AC, but some trick is needed to switch it on because there's no switch. For what you get, it felt far too expensive and the interiors were poor.
We arrived around 11 pm to find they wouldn't give us the room unless we paid an extra Rs. 500, even though we'd already booked and paid online. They said we could cancel, but there'd be no refund. At that hour we had nowhere else to book, so after bargaining we paid another 400 rupees. The staff were rude and behaved like rowdies. I'd give it minus five stars.
After a 400 km ride, I got to OYO Flagship 28658 The Swarg Residence around 1 PM today expecting to eat and rest. They refused to give me a room, saying they weren't connected with booking.com and only took walk-ins. The property staff quoted 1500 per night, while the app showed 990 for two nights. Someone at reception told the property person to let me stay because I'm a woman. I didn't need that kind of favour. It was a deeply disappointing experience with OYO and Booking.com, and now I'll hesitate before booking online again.
I booked a few rooms at The Swarg Residence for a family function this month, in October. One room had a broken AC, another had a tap that needed repair, and the washbasins didn't work in most rooms. The rooms aren't suitable for families. Inspect before paying the full amount, since they make promises that don't hold up.
The room itself was decent, and the room service was good. But we booked two rooms and both had water problems in the bathrooms. In one, water kept running from the tap, there was no water at the washbasin, and in the other, water was leaking out of the toilet. We told the manager, who said they'd call a plumber, but nobody came.
