Clay Inn Hotel Gurugram

Parking was a real plus, with a good dedicated area that made arriving easy for our guests. The hall at Clay Inn, Sector 49, was comfortable for our roughly 200 guests, and the corner location gave it an open feel. The banquet was well maintained, with a nice atmosphere and a practical layout. Service was the weak point. Staff seemed stretched, things sometimes moved slowly, and I had to keep chasing people to get basic tasks done on schedule. Also, guests walking from the main road through Uppal Southend should expect about 500-700 meters, which may be hard for older people or anyone in heavy formal clothes. The venue works well for hosting, but you need to stay on top of the service. I’d give it 3.5/5.

Devendra made my stay feel special. He was attentive to details, genuinely caring, and always there with a warm smile. He helped make everything comfortable from check-in through check-out, and his polite, professional manner really stood out. Service like his made a difference, and I’d recommend the hotel because of staff members like him.

The reception lady was very helpful, which is why I gave service four stars. The breakfast selection was okay, though the taste was below par. Inside, the room was spacious but freezing on a very cold night, and the AC wasn’t working. The bed cover and pillowcase clearly hadn’t been changed after the previous guest. Fortunately, I’d brought extra bedspreads. The bathroom smelled of drainage and the toilet seat was dirty. It looks decent from outside, but the rooms are horrible. I only ended up there because someone booked it for me near my meeting venue. If there were a no-star or negative-star option, I’d choose it. Think carefully before booking this horrible place.

We had the banquet for two days for our residential event, and the staff managed it well. Everyone was cooperative and professional. The restaurant breakfast had a nice presentation and a good spread, and room service was efficient. I ordered batti ka paneer tikka and it was delicious. Check-in was smooth too, with a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. The room was clean, neat, and had a great ambiance. In my experience, Clay Inn hotel has superb food and service, and I’d recommend it. I’ll be telling others good things about the place.
