Edition O 30043 Yellow White Residency

The rooms are spacious and the reception staff were nice, but the food and service were a mess. There’s no kitchen, and guests can’t bring in outside food. They buy dishes from elsewhere when you order and charge double. The pasta I got had no vegetables and was the worst I’ve ever eaten; the veg thali was no good either. Breakfast was buffet-style and somewhat decent, though not worth the price. Even the cutlery looked unw washed, with food bits and wipe marks, and I could smell pickle on a spoon. There was just one guy delivering everything to all the rooms, so getting anything took ages. The hotel is in a nice locality at IFCCO Chowk, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I had a really good stay, and the staff were supportive and pleasant. The one issue was hot water: the heater only gave normal-temperature water. Also, the AC had no heating option, which is much needed to stay warm in Delhi. They did bring an extra blanket, which was nice. Everything else worked out well, so I’d recommend the place.

The food is reasonably priced, and they give you bottled water each day for free. Rooms are nicely equipped, and the staff are approachable and easy to deal with. Upkeep could be better, though: room cleaning was delayed, laundry choices were limited and the service was poor. They seem to be missing a focus on quality.

Housekeeping and the other staff were courteous and helpful, and the cushion mats along the corridor were a nice touch. The rooms felt cosy and comfortable, though they were small. Breakfast was a letdown, with few choices and bad-tasting food. I’d still recommend staying here, just without the food.
