Fabhotel Old Maple Leaf

The room itself was in rough shape, with lots of cockroaches, cigarette burns on the furniture, and stained sheets. Service was inconsistent too. At times we waited more than three hours for drinking water or even a menu, and although the staff were helpful in some ways, they only cleaned our room late at night after we asked. The location was good, but the late check-in caused the biggest frustration. Our booking through makemytrip and fabhotels said “complimentary guaranteed late check-out,” with no mention of availability or hotel policies. Even though rooms were available, we were asked to pay ₹800 for just three hours. That felt misleading and unfair. A guarantee should be honored, especially when the booking doesn't state those conditions.

The walls were damp, there was a strong smell all through the hotel, and cockroaches kept appearing. When I went to eat in the dining area, they came out from under our table as soon as the food arrived and we began serving ourselves. A very bad hotel.

My room's refrigerator didn't work, despite the night manager saying it would. The property is now called Hayday Cafe or something like that, not Old Maple Tree, and nobody told me about the name change, even when I made the reservation by phone.

The atmosphere at my one hotel was peaceful, and the staff made me feel like a valued guest. I had a pleasant stay and would say it's a must for anyone visiting gurgaon.
