We came here for a wedding, and the way staff treated the event team was awful. Some employees were messing with the team and bad-mouthing them, and a few even abused them for no reason. The manager was rude and irresponsible, and argued with the event management crew and photographers, even stopping and questioning them while they ate lunch despite the family having allowed them to be there. The rooms for the bride and groom’s relatives were allocated late because management couldn’t keep up. Events were happening one after another while many guests still had no room keys. That evening, the groom argued with management over the delay, and the family called the police for help and to make a complaint. Higher management only stepped in later and tried to cover up the mistake. The so-called executive room wasn’t clean enough. Its bathroom door was jammed, and the shower and washroom jet didn’t work properly. When we called housekeeping, they took a long time to come. Their polite answer was, “The team is aware, they will visit in sometime.” A good view by itself doesn’t make for a good stay. It’s the people who can make a place feel like heaven or hell.

Our sister’s wedding here turned into a horrible experience for us and every guest. We held the Haldi, Ring Ceremony, and wedding events at Golden Tulip Hotel, booking around 60 rooms for two nights. Choosing it was one of our biggest mistakes. The event arrangements were a mess. We’d been promised a hall for 9:00 AM, but at 9:00 it was still locked. Nobody responded, cared, or apologized. Hotel staff and decorators kept arguing instead of working together, pushing our event back by 2 hours and leaving us stressed and embarrassed. One hotel employee got aggressive, verbally abused our event planner, and got into a physical fight with them. Even Duty Manager, Mr. Anurag, was dismissive and offered no support when we raised the problems. Guests were left waiting ages to check in. The staff seemed untrained and unprofessional, and even reception staff privately admitted the hotel was badly managed. The rooms and washrooms smelled awful, and washrooms were often clogged and dirty. There were serious safety problems too. The lifts got stuck at least 10 times, with guests, including small children, trapped for nearly 30 minutes. In Room 701, a door railing fell onto a guest and could have caused a serious injury. People kept tripping and falling on potholes and uneven ground in the lawn. Food and basic room service were just as poor. The food arrived cold and was badly managed, and breakfast was awful for the price. Room lockers didn’t work and took almost 6 hours to fix. The room pot lights were broken, and the towels were extremely dirty. We had to beg for replacements. This place showed no care for guest safety, events, people’s time, or their money. It lacked basic hygiene, professionalism, and hospitality. I strongly warn against choosing it for a wedding or any important event. It was a waste of money and an emotional nightmare.

The suites are spacious and lovely, with amazing views. Lunch took a while, but the food tasted good. Breakfast from the buffet was very average. What really dragged things down was check-in: we waited over 30 minutes at 3pm, even though we were the only ones there. The owners should invest in staff and improve the service. This is an amazing property.

The rooms were neat and clean, and the swimming pool was good, but service felt more like a 2-star place and breakfast like a 3-star one. There were no toiletries, and when we called, they didn’t bring them until we’d followed up repeatedly. They also didn’t provide a towel or robe for the pool. With better management, this could grow into a proper 4-star hotel.
