Holiday Inn Gurgaon NH8 by IHG

My daughter and I stayed at Holiday Inn Gurugram Sector 36, NH8, Delhi from February 28, 2026 to 3rd March, 2026. In room 502, I found a live cockroach, which was extremely disturbing, especially while traveling with my daughter. We had to change rooms in the middle of the night. I reported it to management. They offered complimentary breakfast, but I declined because that gesture didn’t address a serious hygiene concern. The issue is proper pest control and cleanliness, and finding a cockroach in a room raises concerns about overall hygiene practices. For an IHG hotel, especially as a loyal member for more than two decades, I expected much higher standards. Mr Chetan Wali (front office manager) and Navneet Singh (Duty manager) were both very unprofessional. I hope management takes this seriously and strengthens pest control and quality checks to prevent this happening again.

The breakfast was delicious, and the young hospitality team handling it were superb: Gaurav, Naveen, Nikhil, Aman, Damaris, Tavleen, and Sagar. Ananya at reception was great too. Mr Anurag managed customers and his team with courteous, quick solutions. Room service and WiFi were fast. We stayed at Holiday Inn for three nights and had a memorable, comfortable visit. Hospitality was consistently quick and pleasant from arrival through our last day. We’ll come back and hope to see the same faces. Thank you!

I checked in with high expectations, but left after only three hours because the experience was so disappointing. The rooms were poorly maintained, staff were unprofessional, and basic hospitality was missing. The receptionist, Mr. Naveet, was rude throughout our interaction, and his attitude made the situation worse instead of helping. I don’t understand why the hotel employs staff who don’t speak respectfully to guests. Even small local hotels give better service and respect. I’d never recommend this place for a comfortable stay. A complete waste of time and money.

Please congratulate the chef and his team. Chef vinay has an expertise you might not find even at the best award-winning places. He understands each request about flavor and delivery, then turns it into an exceptional experience. Holiday Inn amazed me, and I was surprised that even the best hotel chains can’t compete with their service delivery. Congratulations on great leadership.
