The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful, but the guy at the counter barely spoke and gave me a bad feeling. The room was freezing, and there were no heaters, so I had to sleep in winter clothes and ask for an extra blanket. A bathroom leak kept the floor wet, and there was no swiper. The sheets, pillow, and covers were very dirty, with stains I couldn’t identify. I think the hotel has potential if it’s managed properly, but the price is high for what they barely offer.

The price felt like a waste of money, and I regret choosing this hotel. I won’t return and would strongly advise people to avoid it. The place felt neglected and badly managed, and the food was overpriced and tasteless. Service was painfully slow, and the front desk acted like I was bothering them whenever I asked for help. I had to remind them several times about even basic things like water and towels. From arrival, nothing went right: the staff seemed unprofessional and uninterested in simple requests. My room was dirty and smelled bad, the sheets were stained, the bathroom was unhygienic, and it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Several amenities listed on the website were missing.

The manager’s response to our complaint made an already awful stay worse. He shouted at us, refused both a room change and a refund, and showed no interest in hearing us out. There was no accountability or basic respect from the staff. Our room was filthy when we arrived: stained sheets, marked walls, a bad smell in the unhygienic washroom, and ashes scattered across the floor, beside the bed, and in the corners. It didn’t look like housekeeping had cleaned it before handing it over. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve had. I regret spending money here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who cares about cleanliness or basic decency.

The lack of basics made this a poor-value stay. There were no towels or tissues in the washroom, and the hand wash had been diluted with water. The room’s refrigerator seemed to be there just for show, the TV wouldn’t turn on, and there was no WiFi. Glasses were missing too. After 11 pm, the kitchen is closed, so they won’t provide any; you have to order online and collect deliveries at reception. Delivery workers aren’t allowed past that point, which I understand. The property smelled of cigarettes everywhere beyond reception. Cockroaches were roaming around and getting onto food and beds. The rooms didn’t have basic necessities, and the staff came across as casual and laid back. I booked hoping for a peaceful stay, but the price didn’t match the quality. I run a property in Himachal, and while guests may still come here, people in my circle wouldn’t bother. I didn’t try the in-house kitchen food, so I can’t recommend it. You could make this place much better, but as it is, I highly don’t recommend it. Get the pest problem treated, or call it La Dharamshala and lower the prices.
