Townhouse CLOUD BAY

The room was filthy, with dirty sheets, a musty smell, and a broken air conditioner. I asked several times for these things to be fixed, but the staff did nothing. They were rude and unhelpful from the moment I arrived, and I waited ages for the room. This was a terrible stay, and I’d tell anyone considering the hotel to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other places with better service, cleanliness, and value.

The attendant wasn’t cooperative, which added to an already bad experience. The bedspread was dirty, and the geyser installed just above the toilet was leaking badly, leaving the whole area wet. Parking also felt unsafe. The CCTV camera covering the cars is so blue that you can barely see the vehicle at night.

The night ended with us stranded outside the hotel at 1 am after returning from a wedding. The gates were locked, nobody answered the phone, and the receptionist seemed to be asleep and didn’t respond when we called out. Another guest arriving to pick up a food delivery helped us, and it took quite a bit of effort to wake the receptionist. I had a companion with me, and the whole thing was alarming. I booked through MMT for Rs 720 for a night, which seemed like a great deal given my late-night check-out. The standard check-in was noon, but the townhouse call center said I could arrive early without an extra charge if rooms were available after 10 am. I got there at 10 am. When I asked about offline rates, the manager quoted Rs 1,000, contradicting the online price. He only agreed to honor my booking after I showed it to him. Then he put me on the fourth floor, despite rooms being available on the first floor. The lift wasn’t working, and nobody helped with my luggage. The room was spacious and tidy, with a queen-size bed, side tables, study lights, an Android TV, geyser, cupboard with a broken lock, and refrigerator. The wooden floor felt warm, but the finish needed more attention. The hotel is surrounded by apartments, so don’t open the windows in case someone is watching you. The room was clean and spacious, but poor communication, lack of professionalism, and other service issues overshadowed that. I can’t recommend this hotel.

The food was good and great value for money, and the hotel was clean, including the room and laundry. The reception guy and other staff were the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met. Everything about the place was exceptional. I hope to come back for a longer visit.
