The bed and room were excellent, and the restaurant is good and affordable. The restaurant staff were superb. But there’s nowhere to sit at reception. The receptionist gave us the old number, 213, instead of the current 216. They didn’t serve the complimentary breakfast, so Rs 80 was settled at checkout. Water was charged.

The food was good, which is why I’m giving two stars, though I’d first considered one. The staff’s behavior was very unpleasant and rude. They advertise veg and non-veg, but didn’t want to serve non-veg in the main seating area and didn’t offer us that menu at first. After we asked for it, they directed us to the dirty, smelly back area where alcohol drinking was being operated illegally. We refused to sit there, so they put us at the far corner of the main restaurant because we’d ordered non-veg.

The dal tadka and gobhi were really good. The food is basic but good, so this is a decent option before entering Delhi if you missed the more popular hotels a kilometre back. Otherwise, you might have to continue the rest of the journey on an empty stomach.
