The area is quiet and away from town and crowds, so don’t expect lots of shops nearby. There’s a small hotel right in front where you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, coffee, cool drinks, and snacks, plus a little stationery shop with basics like soap and hair oil. A short walk takes you to the temple, where you’ll find the shops and crowds. It’s an easy walk to both the temple and bus station, which makes it a good choice if you want to get to the temple early in the morning. I had a non AC single room that was quite good, with hot and cold water, a neat washroom, and a quiet atmosphere.

It’s easy to walk to the temple from here, and there are good options for parking your car in the basement. The rooms are decent and service is pretty good. There isn’t a hotel to eat in on site, but you can find one opposite.

I found the stay highly uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The room had no phone system, so whenever I needed to speak to staff I had to go down to the ground floor. No towels were provided, and the TV couldn’t be used because the subscription had lapsed. The bathroom was unclean and the bedding felt extremely old and worn out. It wasn’t worth the money, and I won’t return or recommend it to anyone.

We booked a five-bed non-AC room for one night for our family at Hare Krishna Inn, Guruvayoor. It was spacious and convenient, with two double cots, one single cot, and two bathrooms. The price was affordable, and the location is very close to the Guruvayoor temple. A good choice for a comfortable family stay.
