Hotel Newline Orchid

The East Nada entrance is only a 5 min, 500mtr walk away, which was convenient. Our stay was very comfortable, and both rooms were neat, tidy, and well maintained. We booked two Queen rooms, and one was upgraded to a King room as a nice surprise. Both room types had a door separating the entrance from the bed area, giving extra privacy and a sense of safety. The balcony was useful for getting some fresh air, though it wasn’t very spacious. Late check-out is available by the hour for ₹150, which seemed like good value.

The place feels overvalued for the money. Breakfast was below average, the bathroom needed more attention than the otherwise well-cleaned room, and cell coverage wasn’t good. I asked for the TV to be recharged and was told it would work in 20 minutes, but it still wasn’t working when I checked out the next morning. The location is good, though several other hotels are closer to the temple.

We booked four rooms at Newline Orchid for a family trip. The staff were very supportive and helped with all our requirements, and parking was convenient. Rooms were clean, had multiple TVs, and included the essential amenities. They did feel a bit small, the fans weren’t running properly, and the food could taste better.

The rooms at Newline Orchid Hotel, Guruvayoor were good and well maintained, but the service was extremely poor. We told reception that there were no towels, yet it took nearly 30 minutes for them to bring some to the room. Basic amenities were missing, and this made for a very unpleasant family stay. Overall, the service quality was highly unsatisfactory.
