The food Mr. Ramakant sir makes is so good it feels like home. I can't find enough words for it. The place is tucked between mountains and the river, and it was a great stay. It's backpacker friendly, too. If you like nature, just come here. The river flowing right by the property sounds amazing, and the night sky is even better.

We had a super comfortable, relaxing stay at The Woods. The mountain views are spectacular, and having the Tirthan river flowing right beside the property is so refreshing. The rooms are really cozy. There are network and Wi-Fi problems, though that seems to be a regional issue rather than the hotel's. Ramakanth ji, the hotel manager, is very helpful and accommodating. I'd recommend the place to solo travelers, couples, families, or friends looking for a quiet mountain getaway.

A lovely little haven in Tirthan valley, facing the himalaya moutains. The quiet mountain setting is great for taking a break and relaxing. Everything is brand new, the dorms feel homely, and there are lots of spots to hang out. The host family are welcoming and kind. I'd definitely recommend it.

The main small drawbacks for me were the very limited Wi-Fi, a few dishes that felt expensive, like plain rice at 180 rupees, and a dorm room that was much colder than outside. The blankets were great, though. Food was tasty and local, but they serve it in bowls rather than as thali. It's a nice hotel/hostel in ropa village near gushaini, with good views of the river and mountains. The rooms are quite new and in good shape, and there are a few hiking trails near the village, including one to the great himalayan national park gate. ramakant and diwan were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and I felt comfortable with them.

The sound of flowing water is all around because the property is so close to the river. It's peaceful, and sometimes a little scary at night, lol. The place is slightly offbeat, which adds to its charm. Ramakant ji was a kind, helpful host and cooked some really delicious food. We had a wonderful stay at The Woods, a lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature.
