Breakfast is always the same, and they said only one complimentary item per person was allowed, with a charge for anything more. I ordered food from outside, but they wouldn't give me cutlery because I hadn't ordered from them. I also got just one 750 ml water bottle for two people. When I asked for more, they said only one bottle would be given. I arrived 2 hr early and was charged 500 rs extra. My flight is at 6:30 today in the evening, and the hotel is fully vacant apart from the two rooms I booked. Still, they're asking me for another 500 rs for a late checkout, although the app says late checkout is available depending on availability. Very poor experience. There were rude people everywhere, always demanding extra money. I wouldn't book here again.

There was no sign or hotel signboard, and the building was dark with just a few lights. The surroundings felt very scary, with drunk people staring at us. I wouldn't recommend it for a female traveler or anyone traveling with a female. As soon as we got these bad vibes, we didn't have time to go looking around for the hotel building. We quickly booked an Uber, then another hotel. I booked the room on booking.com around 10:30 pm yesterday, as soon as I landed at Guwahati Airport, because of the Fab Hotel name, the room photos, and the listed amenities. But when we reached the location at around 11:30 pm, there was nobody there or in the building. I'm writing this to help another traveler like me avoid the scam, with good pictures uploaded on Google map and booking.com. I don't hate the hotel, but this is not what I expected from a brand like Fab Hotel.

We only stayed about 5 hours before leaving for the airport. A few police officers unexpectedly came to check our ID cards, which surprised us at a reputed hotel. We were also shocked that two simple veg thalis cost ₹626, which seemed very overpriced. A disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The location can be tricky to find on Google Maps, so search for 'Hotel Hi City Inn' instead. It’s the same building. We had a great stay here: the rooms were very clean, comfortable for the price, and good value for money. Food arrived quickly, and all the staff were wonderfully welcoming. One of my favorite stays away from home. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly place in Guwahati.
