The rooms were neat and had the necessary accessories. The main thing to improve is the washroom hot water supply. It was hot in some rooms, but only lukewarm in others.

The place was poorly managed and nowhere near the comfortable stay we were promised. The sheets were dirty, the room was in terrible shape, and basic maintenance was lacking. The wooden floor was damaged, the shower didn’t work properly, and the toilet was broken. Even the TV and heater came at an extra charge. Disgusting and unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked an executive room with a balcony for 2 nights at The Majestic Crown in Ooty. The view from the balcony was peaceful and beautiful, a lovely place to have tea and unwind after sightseeing. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with the basic amenities. Staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, and service was quick. We enjoyed the fresh, tasty food and the good variety. A pleasant stay, and I’d recommend The Majestic Crown to visitors to Ooty.

The hot water situation was the biggest disappointment. There was no regular hot water. We were told to leave the tap on the hot side for 10 minutes, and that something would be changed, but the problem remained. Breakfast was disappointing too, with little variety and just one toaster. We got a complimentary dinner, but it tasted very poor, and its menu was different from the regular one, so watch out. The room chair was broken, there were no hangers in the wardrobe, room, or washroom, and no hot kettle or tea bags despite the cold climate. Staff had no uniforms, so it wasn’t clear who worked there.
