Lake View Resort

The lake view and peaceful surroundings made this a lovely place to unwind in Lonavla. Mr. Austin, the manager, was especially courteous and attentive, and helped make the whole stay wonderful. Great location and hospitality. Highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

I lost the full amount I paid, and I'm really disappointed. We booked two rooms a week in advance with a no-cancellation option, even though many resorts in Lonawala offer zero-cancellation options. That was a mistake. We went to visit Bhimashankar, but unexpected rain and road repairs delayed us. We couldn't get to Lonavala on time, so we asked to move the booking to the next day. The resort wouldn't accept the request or refund the payment. I explained that the rooms could be used by others. They showed no concern. Think carefully before booking here.

We were with our one-year-old son, and this turned into a nightmare for our family. We were a little late in the morning, and they wouldn't provide the breakfast included in our booking. They said they'd tried calling but couldn't reach us. At night, someone tried to unlock our door with a key. I'd taken an extra key for all the door locks. There was very little courtesy from the staff. I would never recommend this hotel to a family.

The rain made the lake view especially beautiful, and the food deserves five stars. Our room was neat and clean, the restaurant was spotless, and service was good. It's a peaceful place to relax, fairly close to Tiger point and Bushi dam. There are games on the terrace, though it needs some renovation and cleaning. One safety suggestion: small children can open the room windows easily, so a top latch would help avoid an accident.
