Hotel Siroy Classic

The staff were so rude, especially the receptionist. I wouldn't recommend visiting.

The staff were courteous, and I'd give them 5 out of 5. Room service also gets 5 out of 5, and our dinner arrived hot and promptly, with good taste. The room was small but nicely clean, so I'd rate it 4 out of 5. There's ample parking, a lift, and wheelchair parking. It's easy to reach the bus stand and train station. Our stay at this how was pleasant and comfortable. Overall, I'd give the hotel 4 out of 5. The room was filthy, with pan stains on the wall and dirty linen on the bed. Then we were served stale food. When we asked about the foul smell coming from the rice, the restaurant manager denied there was any smell and seemed to expect us to eat it. Only after we kept asking him to check did he take it back to the kitchen and bring a fresh bowl. I never thought cooking a bowl of rice could be so difficult! I booked this place based on the ratings shown here, and that was a mistake. It's terrible for anyone, even for one night. I wish negative ratings were possible.

The bathroom was unhygienic, the floor was very dirty, and the shower didn't work. They gave us cheap soap and CLinic plus shampoo instead of OYO soaps and lotions. There were cups and an electric kettle, but no sugar or tea bags. We booked through OYO for 1600 for a double room and checked in during the afternoon. Turning on the geyser cut the power to our room, and the power also went out if the AC ran for more than an hour. We paid for these services, but they weren't properly provided. When we called service and asked to move rooms, they didn't listen. At 1am the power went out again. We had an infant with us who couldn't sleep properly, so we called reception and demanded a room change. They moved us at about 1.30 am. Then at 6 am the AC in the new room broke down, and lots of ice and insects fell onto the floor near the bed. We checked out immediately. The service and quality were awful, and the 3-star rating is totally fake for this kind of hotel. They don't deserve even 500INR. Never stay there, even for free. Worst hotel I ever stayed in.
