Hotel Siroy Lily

I picked Hotel Siroy Lily for the convenient spot near the railway station, and the rooms are basic and affordable. But cleanliness and upkeep were lacking, some amenities didn't work properly, and the service felt average. It's okay for a short visit if location matters most, though it needs improvement.

The rooms are very small, and they may cut power for repairs and shut down the lift and AC. You might wait until the next day for a requested service, but if they ask for money, they expect it immediately or say they'll hit you. The receptionist, Night Manager, staff, and Mental G.M. were all bad. They aren't suited to hospitality, more like a fish market selling fish and vegetables and arguing with customers. By mistake they ended up in hospitality. Be careful, never go to this hotel. Only the location is good.

The rooms are very good, and the staff were helpful and well behaved. Amenities are decent too. It's in a prime spot near Paltanbazar market, about a 10-minute walk from the railway station. Nice hotel.

Check-in was terrible. Cleartrip said unmarried couples and local IDs were allowed, but the hotel refused to check us in because my partner had a local ID. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, and denied the policies listed online. They even threatened to call the police just because I was with my female partner, who had a local ID. This misleading information and behavior is unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
