OYO Flagship 14647 Hotel Grand Majesty

My stay at Hotel Grand Majesty was a huge disappointment. The rooms were in terrible condition and nothing like the photos, and the TV shown in the listing wasn’t in the room. The fans and ACs didn’t work, and breakfast wasn’t provided even though I’d paid for it. I booked two rooms through Agoda and was charged ₹1000 extra for early check-in, despite the website saying check-in and check-out were available 24 hours. Customer service didn’t respond, and I’m still waiting for my refund. Think twice before booking. Agoda, please take note.

The place looks good only from outside. Inside, the room was dirty, with a fungus-covered first room, then a second mess with unchanged bedsheets, ash in the corners, and a dirty floor. There was no television despite being told there would be one, and the AC didn’t work. The phone was on the floor, so you had to sit down there to call. After I asked to change rooms, it took an hour and some shouting before they went to clean, and that took another hour. I wasted my money and time, and I’ll share the video too. The cleaners were good and well behaved, but the manager, my goodness.

My wife and I had our stay ruined at Hotel Townhouse Grand Majesty, near Medicity, Hatigaon. We arrived around 1 a.m. after a delayed flight, exhausted, and the receptionist was rude and no help from the start. The room was filthy. The pillowcases and sheets had blood stains, and the replacement pillowcase did too. Staff said casually that the stains don’t come out in the wash, and even after repeated requests they gave us no clean bedsheets. We stood there tired and frustrated until about 2:15 a.m. The blanket had strange marks, the toilet seat looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days, and the AC made loud noise all night, so sleep was impossible. This place was a nightmare. The good reviews here look totally fake compared with what we experienced. If you care about comfort and hygiene, stay away. Would you want your family to go through that? Totally not recommended.

The bathroom smelled unpleasant, and the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. Staff seemed unprofessional and weren’t much help, while room service took nearly an hour to respond. I stayed one day and didn’t feel it was good value for money. They really need to improve cleanliness and customer service.
