It was hard to sleep comfortably because the AC barely worked. The bathroom was worse, with mold on the walls, a leaking faucet, and hardly any hot water. The room itself was dirty too, the sheets were stained and there was a terrible smell.
The ambience was wonderful, and there was plenty of parking for my vehicle. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly. A great, great stay.
Breakfast was stale and inedible, and noise kept me awake all night. The bathroom had mold, the AC barely worked, and the rooms were dirty. Staff were rude and the service was terrible. It’s definitely not worth the price. Avoid this place!
The room and bathroom were clean, though the towel looked a bit dirty. I had brought my own, so that wasn’t an issue. The staff were okay, and the stay was okay compared with the review I’d seen. I gave it four stars because there was no handwash or soap in the bathroom, and I had to wait outside the gate for 6-10 minutes early in the morning.
The food was really good, homemade, and good in hygiene, quality, and quantity. Rooms were big and clean, the AC worked well, and everything was in good condition. But the staff stood out most: I travel all over India and the world for work, and I haven’t come across hotel staff this polite. They make you feel at home. I’ll stay here next time I’m in Guwahati. Thanks, elgin guest house, for a pleasant stay.
