Ambience Gwalior

There weren’t enough guests for a buffet, but Ms. Sandhya did her best to bring out all the options that were available. The restaurant service was quite good.

Right by the railway station, and the food was amazing. I had dinner and breakfast, including a veg thali, and the quality never felt compromised. The food team really went out of their way, and reception staff were very cooperative. It’s a pretty decent place for a stopover, unless you’re a light sleeper or very particular about cleanliness.

The Wi-Fi barely works, so don’t count on getting work done or even browsing social media. I was also put off by the staff, who came across as arrogant and were dismissive and rude when I brought up problems. There’s a no outside food rule in the rooms, and they try to charge a 500 fine if they catch you. It’s a greedy, customer-unfriendly policy. The ambience doesn’t make up for this kind of treatment. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There’s a lot to like here, from the spacious rooms and good food to the handy location. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, and this one really has everything. Breakfast was good, and Ms Sandhya in the restaurant was quick to respond and gave me great service.
