Central Park Gwalior

The property is lovely, the staff are courteous, and the food is excellent, especially the buffet breakfast. We had a pleasant stay in general. The problem was room service: staff said they were short-handed and wouldn't clear our dinner plates, which stayed in the room overnight and into the next morning. If they fix that service gap, this could be a perfect place for families.

The location is excellent, with plenty of parking, and the food is good. Breakfast has a very wide selection, and service was quick. Our room was spacious enough that adding a third bed didn't make it feel crowded. The first room we were shown had floorboards that pinched, but they promptly moved us when we raised it. The rooms are reasonably clean, though they show their age, and the furniture creaks; the hotel seems to be doing its best to keep it usable. More refined travelers might find it lacking. Wi-Fi wasn't available, which surprised me, and staff said there was an issue with the provider. Otherwise, a decent stay in Gwalior.

Getting around was easy during my five-day stay. Autos and cabs were readily available, and the hotel is about five minutes from DB mall and Gwalior station, with the airport around 30 minutes away. It's in a clean part of Gwalior with proper roads. Staff were helpful and very courteous, and Mr. Harsh, the manager, was reachable and a good host. Ask for a renovated room: the 2nd and 4th floors have them, while about half the hotel is still awaiting renovation. The food was average, though breakfast had buffet options. Hot water was sometimes an issue, and the Wi-Fi could be weak. A good place to stay for a vacation in Gwalior.

We had an extra bed in one of the renovated king rooms, and there was still plenty of space. Breakfast was very nice, the staff were very good, and they offer valet service. The location is good too, and the prices felt quite reasonable for what we got.
