Hotel Ambika Dx

The AC situation caused a lot of stress during my stay. The front desk controlled it, there was no remote, and it was set to 27 degrees. The manager kept switching it off. I checked in at 1:00 PM, but it was off around 4 PM. Between 5 PM and 7:30 PM, I had to ask 5-6 times for it to be turned back on. After a heated argument with the manager and owner, they finally switched it on at 9:30 PM, then off again at 10 PM. This kept happening through the night. I had important work and preparations the next day, but the night was spent in stress. The room was cramped, barely large enough for a queen-size bed, and the gallery leading to it was extremely narrow. The gallery and exit also seemed dangerously narrow in an emergency, and I question how the property passed fire and safety regulations. The linens were stained and looked used. The towel was wet and clearly used, and the replacement was also wet and used. The floor was dirty; after I asked for it to be cleaned, they mopped it an hour later with an unhygienic mop. The wooden shelves and almirah had dirt and food stains, and were wiped with a dirty cloth only after I asked. The bathroom was dirty, with yellow marks on the floor tiles and toilet seat and a constant foul smell. Staff insisted the toilet was clean and refused to do more when I asked. Water pressure was very low, sometimes not enough to wash hands or flush. There was no geyser or other hot water provision. When I asked for drinking water, they brought a dirty, used bottle. I asked for mineral water, but nobody came back, so I had to get my own water outside for my entire stay. The infrastructure, service, and manager's behavior were extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. As a Google local guide, I strongly recommend not visiting Hotel Ambika Dx. My experience was overwhelmingly negative, and I hope others can avoid the same ordeal.

The attached washrooms are dirty and the rooms have no toiletries. They don't know how to talk to guests, and there's no AC remote. They don't check the rooms before handing them over and have a thousand excuses to lie to guests. This is a very bad hotel.

The room was cramped and dirty, and the blanket was dirty too. There was a bad smell, and the hotel owner had taken the AC remote. I had a very bad stay, and it seemed like OYO hadn't done an audit.

The rooms and bathrooms weren't clean, and the service was very bad. A really bad experience.
