OYO 16947 Hotel Banjara

The location alone made the start of our vacation unpleasant: the surroundings were noisy and dirty. I had called the day before to confirm, but after check-in I still had to ask at least three times for the room to be cleaned. Even then, it felt like a token effort. The bedsheet was filthy, the sofa cushions were ripped and so dirty I avoided sitting on them, and I kept my child on the bed. The quilts came without covers and were too dirty to use. I asked for covers, but none were provided. The bathroom leaked and had seepage. Using the washbasin made dirty water spill out onto the floor and wet my legs. There were mosquitoes, but the owner refused my request for spray or a coil. The lift area smelled like a smoking area and had dim lighting. Several outlets were there, but only one worked, so it was either charging my phone or watching TV. They also have a restaurant, though it seemed nobody used it. Then, after all this, staff asked me for a tip before checkout. This was an extremely unpleasant stay in an unhygienic place, and I would never recommend it. I trusted the OYO company-serviced label, but I don't know how they call it a 3-star hotel. I paid 2056 in the off-season, while much cleaner hotels on the main road in the same Lakshar, Gwalior area were available for 700-800 a night. This place isn't worth even 200 a night.
