OYO 61893 Kundan Guest House

It's close to Gwalior railway station, but the rooms aren't in good condition and don't meet OYO standards. They didn't provide a towel, and there's no phone in the room to call reception. There's no room service or catering either, so you have to arrange your own food from outside.

The only thing there worth praising was the catering. The staff were short-handed, and there was no private parking, though they said they'd manage somehow. The decoration was awful. They showed us one thing and did another, lied about things, and provided no lighting. The rooms were just okay, but the washrooms were unhygienic and hadn't been cleaned, even though I asked multiple times before the function. The owner first said they'd take care of everything and told me not to worry, then later said nothing was their responsibility and we should manage it ourselves. Very irresponsible and arrogant. If you're considering this guest house for a wedding or any other function, my advice is a red alert: don't go there. It's a very poor choice for an event.

We'd paid in advance for a two-day wedding function and had all the booking receipts. Then, just one day before, they told us the guest house couldn't be vacated because the party already staying there had extended its stay. We tried everything, but had to make last-minute changes to the wedding. A horrible experience. Don't book this for any occasion, they're not trustworthy at all.

My paid OYO booking was cancelled at the last minute when I arrived to check in. The staff and owner were very rude and annoying. I suggest avoiding this hotel, but the choice is at your own risk.
