Half the building is empty now, but the staff and the whole appearance still carry traces of its grand past. Walking in, you can feel that history in the old, wide hallways, the large empty swimming pool, the gardens and the themed sculptures. It feels like an old movie star’s hotel. It must once have been majestic; these days it’s simply a hotel, but I still felt my payment was worthwhile.
It’s quiet inside despite sitting right by the highway, and the place is well maintained. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with the essentials, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant food is tasty and hygienic, often with good combo offers. Hotel Landmark Plaza is a convenient stop for travelers and works for a longer stay too.
After spending 7000 rupees, I got none of the peace I wanted from a break in my hectic schedule. The staff and manager behaved horribly, with no sense of courtesy or humanity. Their phone number on Makemytrip wasn’t up to date. I got the manager’s mobile number and called around 100 times, but he never answered. I complained at the local police station about their misbehavior. I recommend staying away.
There’s no card payment, and breakfast only becomes available after 8:30 AM. The tariff is far too high for what the room offers. The room wasn’t maintained, the TV didn’t work, and the AC only worked at 17 dc with no remote available. There’s no restaurant either. A waste of money.
There’s no food at the hotel, and the nearest place to get a meal is 3 km away. The location is extremely remote. Everything else was good, but I can’t give it more than two stars, especially as someone who regularly stays in other hotels.
