I’ve been to matri neer more than 6 times and never get bored or dissatisfied, so I strongly recommend it. The rooms are amazing and the bathrooms are clean and hygienic. The corridors make the place look good, and breakfast has a range of options, all good quality. There’s ample parking, so you can feel your vehicle is safe and enjoy your leisure time without restrictions. It’s suitable for all.
The quiet setting suited us, and the family-friendly price includes AC rooms, hot and cold water, and free WiFi. Breakfast has good complimentary choices, though the food portions are quite small. It is well away from the Haridwar-Rishikesh road, so having your own transport makes this a much better option.
This is a budget hotel, and the upkeep of the building and washrooms reflects that. Food prices are reasonable, but the waiters could be more professional. Parking is on the road outside and at the owner's risk. The property sits in a colony about 600 meters from the main road and 4 kilometers from Har Ki podee. Most frustratingly, reception does not answer between 11 PM and 7:30 AM, so don't count on help or even bed tea during those hours.
We paid Rs. 1000 per room for two rooms. The rooms, bedding, and well-kept toilets were clean, and service was good. Food was only average, the waiters were not dressed well, and there was no proper backup for power cuts.
It feels like a dharamshala rather than a hotel. The property is very old and in a pathetic state.
