Our room, Dheer, was huge, more like a suite, with a balcony facing the holy Ganga and good basic amenities. The retreat felt like home after a while, with the comforts of a wellness stay. It's tucked away from Haridwar's bustle but still connected to the key areas, including J, Har ki pauri and moti bazaar. It also has its own private ghat, and the railway station is nearby. The setting is safe, clean and peaceful, just as the name Ekaanta suggests. The freshly cooked satvik food at Jivana was delicious and came in a huge variety. I especially liked the beetroot tikki and moong dal chila. The team was attentive and hardworking, from manager Mr. Pradeep and Sunil bhaiya in the restaurant to Chauffeur Tiwari ji and therapist Preeti. The evening Ganga arti is a must, and the bhajan sandhya with harmonium and tabla was outstanding. I also found the therapies soothing, and Dr. Bhatt did his best to support our health. The Rajaji National Park forest walk to a hidden waterfall, and morning yoga with the yoga guru, were both amazing. It was one of the most calming stays I've had, and helped me reconnect with myself. A couple of things to know: there was only one therapist, so the end-of-day massages could be tiring for her. The lift is a little dated, though I got the hang of it with a bit of effort. Bring your own toiletries if you want premium products. During Mahashivratri it was very noisy because Kawariyas played DJs at full volume. Bring a separate change of clothes for taking a dip in the Ganga ji, as often as you like. Don't miss the evening arti or bhajan sandhya. And if you don't want the crowds, you don't need to go to Har Ki Pauri.

The food was excellent, with a thoughtful spread and plenty of local flavours, and the stay was good overall. The rooms were spacious, though some basic in-room items and facilities were missing. It felt a bit overpriced for what you get, even with the location, private ghat, evening aarthi and organised ghat walk. Getting there was difficult by car. The hotel has no parking, and its very narrow lane is congested from early morning until midnight, making even loading or unloading a vehicle a challenge.

The evening Aarti and soulful music were the best parts of my quick one-day trip to Haridwar. I chose Ekaanta this time, and it surpassed what I expected. The whole staff made me feel very welcome and looked after me well. Ashish also gave me a very relaxing potli massage. Thanks to everyone, and to General Manager Mr. Pradeep Banerjee for making sure I was comfortable.

The retreat felt positive and peaceful, and gave us a real break from the rush of everyday life. My mom and I stayed at Ekaanta Retreat for two days during Maha Shivratri, which made the visit feel especially memorable. It's beautifully set on the ghats of the holy Ganga. Everything, from the satvik bhojan to the well-organized Ayurvedic treatments, was arranged with care. Mr. Pradeep helped with all our bookings and kept the stay smooth and comfortable. Dr. Girish planned helpful, personalized treatments for both of us, and Mr. Parashit led early morning yoga and blissful meditation that refreshed our minds and souls. All the staff were polite, respectful and attentive. We left feeling rejuvenated and energized. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for peace, healing and spiritual renewal. 🙏✨

I had only the included breakfast, but the food was spectacular. The hotel facilities and our room were exactly as advertised, and the staff were thoughtful, personable and professional. They went out of their way to help without being overly attentive. Ekaanta backs onto the Ganga in an amazing location. The nightly Aarti at the hotel was both moving and fun. I didn't try the onsite wellness services, so can't comment on those. For anyone exploring the spiritual city of Haridwar, this felt like a tranquil oasis and I'd highly recommend it.
