Hotel Blue Lagoon

Large rats in the rooms made it extremely uncomfortable, and staff did nothing after we reported them. The washrooms were poorly maintained and below basic cleanliness standards. This place doesn't live up to its advertised 3-star rating. It seems eager to charge premium rates during peak season, while service and upkeep fall far short. I wouldn't recommend it for a comfortable, worry-free stay.

The toilets are better left unmentioned. Even boys' hostel toilets are cleaner, and ladies will definitely get a urine infection from using these. There's no hot water either. The floors were dirtier than a boys' hostel, and the bedsheets had cigarette burns and cum spots. The drinking glasses had curry fingerprints and hadn't even been cleaned. This hotel was horrible, pathetic, a disaster. Check the recent Google reviews if you're lucky enough to have done so. I've never seen a worse hotel in my life, with not one good thing about it. Hope this review saves your day or night from being ruined.

The staff were unprofessional and rude, and they handled our luggage carelessly, throwing it and telling us to take it ourselves. The rooms were in terrible shape, with paint coming off the walls, filthy bathrooms, dirty bedsheets, and pillowcases that hadn't been changed. There was a mouse in the room. When we complained, staff just said, “ye toh hota h na mam,” meaning this is normal, and repeated, “esa toh hota h na mam.” I've never had such an awful hotel experience. Even a 2-star place would be better. Don't book here. It can't qualify as 3-star, and I wouldn't even count it as 1-star.

This is not a 3-star hotel. Don't trust the rating or the pictures, which don't show its current condition. It doesn't qualify as even a 2-star place. I booked in a hurry while travelling with my family from Badrinath, and we arrived tired in the evening. I wish I could leave a negative-star review. It's a miracle this hotel is still running. Don't book here at any cost. The staff had no professional manners and poor communication, like school students. They mishandled our luggage when bringing it from the cab, then laughed when I questioned them. After a 20-minute wait, they said our booking wasn't in their notebook and that the manager was asleep; we'd have to wait until he came back to clarify things. We eventually got our 2 rooms, but the sheets were filthy with many stains and seemed not to have been changed for a month or so. There were no towels, complimentary mineral water, or toiletries. The bathroom looked like a public one, and the wall paint was peeling. Staff said the rooms had been cleaned that day, even after I complained several times. They finally showed us a room on the floor below. When we entered, a RAT came out of the bathroom 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I called MMT, sent all the photos I'd taken, and asked for a full refund. It took almost an hour on the phone to sort things out with MMT and the property manager, who finally showed up after MMT got involved. Instead of apologizing, the manager justified the rats, told the MMT guy it was NORMAL, and spoke rudely to my family and me. Luckily, MMT refunded me because I had taken pictures. Please don't stay here.
