Hotel Chitra Grand

Coming back to the hotel after long days around Haridwar was easy and relaxing. Chitra Grand was close to the ghats, markets, and other main sights, so my friends and I could get around without hassle. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and shared helpful local tips. It suited our hangout trip really well.

The reception team was very friendly, and their suggestions helped me see more of Haridwar and the surrounding area than I usually do. I stayed at the recently renovated Hotel Chitra Grand a couple of days ago. It is centrally placed, a short walk from the train station, with the Ganga river about 300 metres away. Thanks to Rajeev and Amoli for the warm welcome and excellent service. I hope to return with family.

It isn't a new property, but it's been kept in really good shape. The managers and staff were cooperative and helped make the trip better. Cheers 🙂

This hotel is just behind the chitra cinema. There are no phones in the rooms to reach reception or the restaurant, and even after going downstairs to ask for something, it can take at least 2-3 reminders before it's done. The staff seem cooperative at first but aren't. They are often clueless about their work and may argue with guests, with little common or civic sense. There is no proper parking space, and the spots they do have are taken up by neighbours' cars, especially a ford endeavour.
