Hotel Panama

The big bed was comfortable for our group of family and friends. There were eight of us and we all fit into two beds, which made this a very cheap stay. The window view was great, and the location was handy, close to the Ganga and Gujarati gali, with food easy to find nearby. Finding the place was easy, and the rooms were good, but hygiene was my concern. The bedsheet and pillow were unclean.

The hotel sits inside a galli. I booked through yatra for 450 rs and got a really bad room. To change it, I had to speak with the receptionist and pay 200 extra, so for 600 Rs total I got a better stay. Check that the plugs work, and try to overlook the paint wearing off the walls. One more thing I’ve noticed at hotels like this: when you ask for service, staff come right into the room. They should stop just outside the door. This isn’t specific to this hotel, it’s a common issue.

Bed bugs made the stay a nightmare. I couldn’t sleep at all, and got several allergies and infections from them. The rooms and washrooms weren’t maintained, and the room lighting was poor too.

The rooms were filthy and smelled unhygienic, and the bedsheet looked like it hadn’t been washed for months. There were biting insects in the bed. I spent three hours in one room, then another three in a second room, before checking out. Completely ruined. I’d give zero stars if I could. Don’t go there.
