The quiet atmosphere made for a relaxing stay, and the convenient location made getting around the city easy. I stayed with friends at Hotel Rahi (GMVN); the rooms were comfortable and fairly well maintained. Staff were polite and the service was decent, though they could have been a little quicker. It was a pleasant experience and worth recommending.

There’s parking inside the premises, and the hotel is close to Haridwar Railway Station. Online booking was easy. The rooms were cleaned, and check-in is available by 11 a.m.
The location worked perfectly for catching our early bus to Kedarnath, since the bus stand is right next door. We arrived around 8:30 p.m. and needed a room for just 8-10 hours before the 5 a.m. bus. The deluxe room was spacious, with a clean washroom, but it cost ₹2800 and they wouldn’t bargain. For only a few hours, that price felt much too high, even with the small cooler.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and nice, and the station is nearby. I did miss having a Ganga ghat like the one at GMVN Alakhnanda.
