Shri Bhagwan Gopi Dham Dharmsala

We booked a cab through the hotel for Devprayag and Rishikesh during our three-night stay, but staff called us three or four times over 200 rupees and made it a hassle. They came across as a bit stubborn and rude. The location is handy for Har ki Paudi and the railway station, and the rooms and breakfast were fine. We also found cockroaches in the rooms, which needs attention.

The location worked well, with Ganga ghat, autos, and restaurants close by. The food was tasty and hygienic, and the staff were polite and respectful. But the management was so rigid that it really affected our stay. I’d booked a triple room for the first night and a four-bed family room for the next four nights. At check-in they said the first booking was for a double, and at first wouldn’t give us an extra mattress. Hot water didn’t work for two days, and getting the last day’s breakfast moved to our first day because of an early train took several discussions. The ground-floor room had water marks and mould on the wall. There were small spider webs in the family room too, signs that upkeep needs work. The property looks new and nice right now, but it could deteriorate quickly without proper maintenance. I hope the management gets more flexible and focuses on genuine hospitality.

I slept well here, with a cozy bed and fresh linens. The room was spacious, clean, and looked after. It also had the basics, including a TV, wardrobe, and charging points.

The food tasted homemade, though it was prepared professionally, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. Even with the Dharmshala name, the place felt like a five-star hotel. Staff were attentive, very polite, and made a point of making guests feel special. It’s peaceful, clean, and comfortable for a reasonable price. I was honestly blown away.
