Aarya Mansion

The room was clean, had the basics, and was kept in good shape. Breakfast was quite good too. The place itself feels a bit dated, but my stay was decent. The AC took a while to cool things down, and I’d steer clear of the bathroom soap dispensers: at first, one gave out black liquid, possibly because there weren’t many guests.

We were still six or seven hours from Hassan when I called Aarya Mansion to book for myself and my family. They said rooms were available and offered a choice. I found the same room type for less on Cleartrip, so I booked there and requested a late check-in. As we fell further behind schedule, my wife called to let them know about the online booking and our late arrival. Harshath at reception said he’d check the details. We got there around 8:30-8:45 pm. Harshath recognized us when I gave my name, then told us there were no rooms left and that Cleartrip had made a mistake with the booking. He showed no concern or apology, even though we’d traveled all that way with family. They’d initially said rooms were available, then apparently had none, and we received no notice. I don’t know what was going on behind the scenes, but it seemed fishy. The first interaction was so unprofessional and lacking in hospitality that I’ll never consider Aarya Mansion for a stay in Hassan again.

At midnight, I’m writing this feeling really let down. The AC in my room isn’t working, and the reception hasn’t acted on my complaint, so I’m stuck trying to sleep without proper cooling. The place is very unclean, and the service has been extremely disappointing. My food orders were wrong as well. I asked for Dal Khichdi and got something completely different, then ordered Hyderabadi Biryani and was served plain pulao. I travel around Karnataka for work and have stayed in many hotels, but haven’t had this kind of negligence elsewhere. I regret choosing this place and wouldn’t recommend it. Don’t waste your money here.

This was the worst room I’ve stayed in during all my travels. The beds and sheets smelled, the bathroom didn’t have proper doors, and dust covered the floor, which hadn’t been mopped. It’s overpriced and not worth the money. The four-star rating isn’t true, and booking online costs half the price you’d pay walking in. Please try another hotel.
