The King On The Rocks

This was my second visit, and I’d happily come again. The resort is near Hampi, the top UNESCO World Heritage site and 14th-century Vijayanagara Empire capital. Waking to nature sounds and having breakfast in the green courtyard made for a really relaxing escape. Mr Jonty and his team were excellent. His fish hunting in the River as a hobby gave guests a chance to enjoy traditional spices and a mouth-watering dish at night, in a “catch and cook” experience. The evening party was next level, with bonfires and village-themed resort evenings, plus modern music karaoke and guitar performances under the stars. Thank you, Mr Jonty and team.

The place is well planned and guests are made to feel cared for. It has modern facilities including high-speed Wi-Fi, parking, and round-the-clock security. Compared with the more rustic huts, this hotel is suitable for children, welcomes pets, and can arrange bonfires. Excellent experience.

The chattai cottages are lovely, and the staff made us feel welcome. There’s excellent food, especially the Israeli dishes, so definitely try the shakshuka, hummus, and pita bread. The property sits among lush green paddy fields and is close to the local temples and monuments. Great vibes, highly recommended for anyone travelling to Hampi. ✨

Dinner with music was the best part of our visit, and we really enjoyed that time. The rooms were kept in great condition, too. We had a really good stay, and Manager Prithvi was professional and ready to help whenever we needed something.
