There were people inside who heard and saw us knocking, but nobody came to speak with us. That’s no way to treat anyone. We weren’t allowed to check in. They called to ask when we’d arrive, then gave the room to someone else for quick bucks. It was an OYO, though we’d booked through Agoda and didn’t know beforehand. When we called OYO at night, they yelled at us and blamed us, asking, "Who comes at midnight?" They wouldn’t share the hotel details and tried to upsell other hotels at 3 AM in the night. They blocked us, then kept calling from different numbers when they saw a chance to make more money from desperate people stranded with heavy luggage in the middle of Nowhereland.

The check-in was easy, the staff were polite and helpful, and room service was prompt. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, exceeding my expectations. Hotel O Shalimar Railway Junction Formerly Tanima Villa is in a peaceful but accessible location. The calm, welcoming ambience works for business or family stays. Thanks to the management for maintaining such high standards. I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. One of the best stays I’ve had in a long time!

There was no drinking water, the bed and mattress were extremely uncomfortable, and the bathroom was in terrible shape with no basic facilities. The hotel was dirty and unhygienic, and there’s no lift, which is unacceptable. The staff were unprofessional and uncooperative, with no proper coordination during my stay. It wasn’t worth the money. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place.

The receptionist was especially friendly and helpful, and the staff behaviour was outstanding. I had an amazing experience and will surely visit again.
