FabHotel Golden Gate

The rooms were decent, but the bathroom fittings were worn out. The taps were coming apart, and the shower button was missing. The hotel refused to check me in because the rate I’d paid through the Fabhotel app was lower than what they expected. They made me call Fabhotel customer care and asked for the extra fare to be transferred to the hotel before allowing me to check in. I lost 30 critical minutes while I had meetings scheduled. Fabhotels should take note.

The room was untidy and badly maintained, and nothing in it seemed to work. The person in charge also wanted extra money on top of the booking amount, saying otherwise he would not give me the room. Families should avoid this place.

I struggled a lot because there was no hot water. I raised it with Fab Express customer care, but after they discussed it with the hotel, all I got was an apology. I was busy with business work and couldn't focus on the issue for long. They had promised an electric kettle in the room, but at reception I was told there wasn't one in the room, or anywhere in the hotel. The listing also promised amenities, but what I found was just a room with four walls and a dirty attached bathroom. The bathroom was filthy, and the fittings, bucket, and shower didn't work properly. The rooms weren't cleaned either. Fab Express is one of the worst service providers. I wouldn't recommend staying here for this price.

The cleaning boys were helpful, but that didn't make up for the building. The room looked very old and hadn't been dusted, the bathroom tap was broken, and the bucket was dirty. I wouldn't pay to stay in this building.
