The spring roll was the only starter that wasn't too spicy to eat. The chilli mushroom was spicier than I'd expected, and the Manchurian was spicy too. By the time the main dish arrived, we couldn't enjoy it because the starters had been so hot. We ended up drinking lots of water and juice. The main dish itself tasted good. They should ask how spicy we want the food when taking the order. I didn't expect that kind of service.

The restaurant food was really good, but very, very expensive. The Executive rooms also cost too much for their condition, and I was moved to another building for pest control after checking in. Those rooms were below par. Pest control should be planned so guests aren't disturbed after they've settled in. There's ample parking in front and behind the hotel. I'm most worried about guest safety: the staircase is hard to find, and there should be proper directions in case of an emergency. I'm not sure how the lifts operate either, and they need to be fixed. It's alarming that the hotel seems to take staircase access for granted.

The hot and sour soup smelled awful. We told the staff, but they still charged us for it. The manager said we should have asked for a replacement and they'd have brought another soup. But we'd ordered hot and sour soup specifically, and didn't want a different one. The food was poor and the service just as bad. Really disappointing, I'd avoid this restaurant.

I've been to Hotel Swagath Grand many times, and it's been a great experience each time. I love the place, especially the tasty Mutton Biryani. It's a good family restaurant, with luxurious rooms, spacious function halls, and a very good morning buffet. The service and food are amazing for a 3-star hotel.

We chose this hotel because it was near my friend's family, and stayed for 13 nights. They had been told there were no discounts and that breakfast was included. In our second week, I noticed an internet price that was $20 less than what my friend was paying. She asked about it and spoke with three managers, but no one gave a direct answer. Another manager supposedly checked with the supervisor and told her no discount was given. That wasn't true. I showed her the price online. My friend paid for every night, then had the front desk manager remove everything from the bill and set the balance to zero after the staff insisted we'd ordered chicken fried chicken at midnight. We don't eat meat, we're vegetarians, but the lady kept saying we had ordered it. She followed us around at breakfast too, even though we had a coupon each morning. The front desk lady was rude and called my friend a Foreigner, even though she's from India. It made a bad impression on me, especially as this was my first trip to India. I felt she was trying to scan my friend. I noticed my review had been taken down. Some of the managers were unprofessional, though one man was kind and caring. He still didn't give us a discount. Everyone seemed to be looking for a tip. Next time, we'll go through hotel.com. The waiters were nice at breakfast and did their best to understand us, and breakfast there was nice. The location was good too. The cleaning staff were the kindest people, and their supervisor was a nice lady. They gave us bottled water. We had to buy our own rubberized welcome mat because the shower was marble and I was afraid of slipping. There was no shower curtain, and I wore water shoes in the shower. We also found cockroaches in our room. After we told the staff, we had to leave while someone sprayed something that smelled so bad it made our eyes water. I'm with a group of investors, and I have to tell them not to invest in this Indian hotel.
