Hotel Tourist Palace

The stay was pleasant, but the ending spoiled it. The rooms, linen, and toilets were very clean, the location was excellent, and the staff were polite and helpful. I booked through Bank of India, which advertised complimentary breakfast, and had breakfast on the checkout date. At checkout, at 11 am, I was handed a food bill. The money wasn't the main issue, it was the lack of transparency. A lady at reception said bookings through the bank had an 8 am checkout and breakfast wasn't complimentary. But I'd asked at check-in about checkout time and food cost, and was told checkout was after 24 hours, at 6 pm in my case.

Mithun, the bell boy, was helpful and took good care of guests, and room service was commendable. Breakfast was decent too. But the deluxe room smelled strongly of pest control, and I still saw cockroaches. There was no real window, just curtains meant to make it feel like there was one. The old television didn't work properly either. For the facilities provided, the room felt overpriced.

A decent budget choice for families. The rooms were clean, and the towels, toiletries, and breakfast were all good. The AC placement was awkward, though, so it didn't cool the room as expected unless we set it to a lower temperature. Our driver also mentioned there were lots of mosquitoes in the parking area. I'd recommend the hotel despite those issues.

We stayed for four days and found it easy to get around Hyderabad's tourist spots from here. Breakfast had plenty of variety and the food was good. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had a clean toilet. The staff were helpful, and they let us check in an hour early.
