Minerva Grand Banjara Hills

The staff let our group check in an hour before the usual time, which was kind of them since I arrived early. Banjara Hills made this a great pick for a weekend getaway. Breakfast had good choices, and the food was decent.

It’s a good value stay, with courteous staff and very prompt service. The buffet is worth the price, and the hotel took care of what we needed. There’s a restaurant and gym on site, plus cab service through the concierge. It sits in the middle of Banjara Hill, yet the spot is peaceful. A good budget hotel for anyone.

The South Indian dishes stood out, tasting fresh and homemade, and breakfast also had regional, Indian, and continental choices. Room service was timely with reasonable portions. Parking was convenient and easy to access. The hotel is right in the heart of Banjara Hills, close to restaurants, shopping, and major attractions, while still feeling calm inside. Check-in was smooth, the lobby and shared spaces were clean and welcoming, and the staff were professional, responsive, and willing to help. My room was spacious, tidy, and comfortable, with a good bed and the basic amenities. Housekeeping respected my timing preferences. The bathroom was clean and had basic toiletries, though newer fittings would improve it. The dated interiors could use refreshed furniture and better lighting. Still, Minerva Grand Banjara balances comfort, service, and value well. I’d recommend it to families and business travelers looking for a reliable Hyderabad stay.

We stayed at this hotel from Nov. 9-12. Today at the restaurant, we tried to order mutton with a hot flavor. The man in a black suit said there was no such dish. We asked again, and he spoke very quickly. We thought he was offering a mutton dish with heat, so we ordered it. He didn’t repeat the order and must have passed it to the kitchen. What arrived was shrimp, which I don’t like. When I said no, the man insisted that it was what we’d ordered and that we had to take it. I felt embarrassed, as if he were scolding me in front of everyone. Is that how someone responsible in a black suit should behave? I didn’t eat any of the dish, but they still made us pay the full price.
