We booked mainly because of the location, but the stay was a disaster. The rooms were dirty and poor quality, the AC was broken, and the beds had bugs. The place felt gloomy, and the Wi-Fi was terrible. Staff were rude and irresponsible, especially at the front desk, where they showed no consideration for us as a family. The prices were high for such bad service. It's in a prime area, but I wouldn't book it again.

We couldn't check in because the listing details weren't accurate, but the manager refused to refund our money. MakeMyTrip had advertised the place as a posh 3 BHK service apartment, and the manager's attitude was awful when we pointed out that the information wasn't authentic. This was the worst hotel I've booked so far, and a lesson for me about using MakemyTrip.

The reception staff here were among the worst I've encountered. The property is in a good, premium area, but the receptionist offered no help or support and had no basic manners. He'd worked at a local one-star hotel in Chennai and is now, in my view, damaging the TAJ name. I'm sure staff like this bring disgrace to the company. I don't know how OYO hires people like him.

I spent 40 minutes trying to get into a room I'd already paid for. The receptioner's tablet didn't show my reservation, so he refused check-in even though I had documents and four customer care agents confirmed the booking existed. He wouldn't call the reservation team, saying they don't answer and that I had to contact customer care. He kept worrying that he wouldn't be paid if he gave me the room. The four agents all disconnected, and because the receptionist wouldn't change his mind, I ended up cancelling. A terrible experience.

The rooms are good and the management is friendly, but the lift is a problem. It's usually under repair or switched off. Over three days, it worked only twice.
