Hotel Swagath Grand

The room was clean and okay for my business trip, and the staff were courteous. Service was good, though I had to ask for toiletries and water bottles because they weren't there at first. The bathroom fixtures were clean but looked old. I felt safe here.

We come here regularly for functions and have used the hotel six times so far, though I've never stayed overnight because we live nearby, about 1 km away. I used to think the breakfast was one of its best features, and it tasted very good. But even when we arrive at 9:30 am, they say breakfast is over, especially when we're there with our two kids. I'm happy to pay for the kids too. They keep asking for buffet breakfast, so I may have to find another place around Nagole, LB Nagar, or Dilsukhnagar. The hotel's standards seem to be going in the wrong direction. I like a good breakfast, preferably a buffet, and usually visit with my family. If anyone knows a good buffet hotel nearby, please let me know.

The restaurant is part of the hotel, and it's made to look like a train. Food there is good in taste and quantity, and the service is good, though prices are on the high side. The rooms are small enough for single occupancy, and the bathrooms are very cramped, with no room to bathe. Only two 300 ml bottles of drinking water are provided, which isn't enough even for one person. Rooms do have a TV with multiple channels, hot and cold running water, a tea and coffee maker, and Wi-Fi. At its three-star business level, it seems reasonable value for a short stay or business visit, with basic amenities and a restaurant. In Nagole at Alkapuri X Roads, the hotel has fairly good transport links, including the Nagole metro, and access to much of Hyderabad. It's a decent option if you want to be outside the central areas without being too far away, including for local visitors or stays in the Nagole/Uppal area.

I found a cockroach in the Malai Kofta I ordered. There's an attached photo. It ruined our meal and left me seriously concerned about the kitchen's cleanliness and quality control. For a restaurant of this standard, that kind of hygiene and food safety lapse is unacceptable. I hope management takes immediate corrective steps so nobody else has to deal with this. Until then, others should be cautious.
