OYO 1421 Hotel Nirmal Excellency

We stayed for three nights in September 2018. The staff were friendly and cooperative, and even though we reached around 9:30, they let us check in early without an extra charge. Regular check-in is at noon. The location worked well for us, between Kachigura and Hyderabad railway stations, near Abids and within walking distance of Imli bus stand. The property is nicely built, though the rooms are small and could use repainting and renovation. Each room had a fridge, AC, geaser and Godrej locker, plus free parking and high speed WiFi. They don’t provide complimentary mineral water, a tea and coffee set, or an electric kettle. There’s no restaurant or kitchen, but the staff can get food, tea or coffee from a nearby restaurant if you ask.

There were 21 of us, and Mr. Inderneet Singh, the owner, was very helpful. He arranged a birthday cake for my nephew at short notice, and we got a free pickup from the station. We had a good experience at this budget hotel.

Apart from the location, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The rooms had dim lighting, the TV didn’t work, and there was no room service. Staff responses were ridiculous, and the service felt horrible and irresponsible. They didn’t seem to care about customers and gave silly reasons. I travel all over India and usually manage with different places, food, and situations. This was my first negative online review. OYO should take care of its name, or it could lose business.

It’s a good, affordable hotel close to Osmania Medical College. The OMC entrance gate is about 200m away. Service was excellent, and they brought a simple, good breakfast to the room. RO water is provided there, and bottled mineral water is available for purchase in the basement. The trip to or from the airport takes 45 min when traffic is light.
