The new rooms I was given were very small, and both the entrance and bathroom door frames were under six feet. At over six feet tall, I felt like I was in 'Alice in Wonderland '. Food was decent, though vegetarian options were very limited. The location is very good if you have work in the Hitech area, right on the main road. Staff were helpful and courteous.
Palette and Eastin are in the same building, but Palette has only four rooms at the far end of the corridor. The room is lower grade than Eastin's. When I booked through Make My Trip, the room and lobby shown were those of the Eastin hotel.
The booking went through Oyo even though I made it on MakeMyTrip, and when I called the hotel they said they weren't accepting Oyo bookings. I was glad I checked. The money was non-refundable, and if I hadn't called, I would have reached at 6am and only then found out. I'd booked the previous night to block the room, since I was arriving the following morning, and had paid MMT in full. I had meetings the day I landed and needed to freshen up and dash, so this could have been a disaster. Oyo and MakeMyTrip did nothing to avert it. They're listed by Oyo on MakeMyTrip, and I think they're scammers. Oyo / MakeMyTrip, I have a screenshot from the call showing I dialed the number you provided on my booking PDF, as well as a call recording. Lesson learned, I won't trust OYO at all. They seem like scammers raising funds for their founder to spend on Shark Tank, where he pretends to be a bloody saint.
