Pragati Resorts

We spent two days in a Lagoon room at this lush green property, and the stay was decent. The staff were generally helpful and polite, and there were plenty of things to try, including indoor and outdoor games, pottery, and a magic show. We really enjoyed the show. The waterpark was nice too, with working slides and a rain dance. The place was quiet, green and well maintained. The food was the biggest letdown. All the meals were below average, and breakfast was especially disappointing, with average taste and very few choices. There was no live counter or desserts. Even with so many lovely green spots around, meals were served in a dull hall. Day guests and residents use the same dining venue, which often gets crowded and affects the food quality. It also misses the exclusive feel you get at other resorts around Hyderabad. We didn’t get a welcome drink, either. Getting there wasn’t great. The road to the resort is in poor shape, and compared with the drive to similar resorts around Hyderabad, this was a bumpy ride. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves the guest experience.

The buffet hygiene left us genuinely worried. At lunch in the open dining area for day-pass visitors, mosquitoes and flies were hovering over the food. When we told the staff and manager, they replied, “People are eating it anyway.” We were moved to another restaurant, but the air conditioning there was poor and flies were still around the buffet and dessert counters. After paying so much, we felt we had little choice but to carry on. We came as a family of four to Pragati Resorts and paid nearly ₹6,000 for a day outing pass, arriving around 3:00 PM. Only after we had paid and entered did we learn that the resort effectively shuts down by 6:30 PM, leaving us just a few hours to use the facilities. Nobody told us beforehand, and when we raised it there was no transparency, flexibility or attempt to compensate us. The receptionist was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Instead of dealing with our concern, they asked why we had come if we were worried about the amount charged. That kind of disrespect toward paying guests is unacceptable. For a place marketed as a premium family destination, the poor hygiene, dismissive response to safety concerns, weak customer service and lack of accountability were shocking. Greenery, buildings and advertising don’t make a premium resort. How guests are treated and how seriously their safety is taken matter, and Pragati Resorts failed on both. I rarely post negative reviews, but families should know before spending their hard-earned money. We left disappointed and shocked by how casually our concerns about hygiene, value and treatment were brushed aside.

We had a great day out with our teammates. The greenery and trees planted throughout the facility were the best part, and it was all designed, developed and maintained really well. We enjoyed exploring the property, checking out different spots, taking lots of photos and making memories. The pool and water activities were fun, and we also played cricket on the open ground. Most of us tried the indoor games, including pool, carrom and table tennis. The food was good too. All in all, time well spent.

We stayed one night and had a good time. The room was nice and clean, and the food was good at lunch, dinner and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The one disappointment was that the water games pool and swimming pool weren’t maintained well.
