Quality Inn Residency

The food is good quality, though it can be a little spicy. Rooms are average, but neat, clean, and peaceful. Getting around is easy: Nampally Station on the Red Line is a two-to-three-minute walk, and most popular tourist spots are 10-20 minutes away.

The outside of the hotel looks fabulous, but inside was a different story. The rooms and bathrooms were in awful shape, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the rooms, bathrooms, service, and chef improve. There were cockroaches everywhere, including in the mini fridge, which was dirty and mouldy. The drawers were rusty and mouldy too. The old kettle didn’t work, and having to smack it while it was plugged in felt dangerous. The door had to be shut twice to stop the open-door noise. The beds were okay, though mouldy. The lights made no sense, with one staying on whatever we did, and we wouldn’t use the wardrobe given the room’s condition. The TV didn’t work, and there was no screen casting. The receptionist said it hadn’t worked for months. At a hotel rated 3.9, you’d at least expect the TV to work, even if not everyone wants to watch it. The toilets were thankfully clean, but the basin was very dirty. The towels were dusty, so we were glad we’d brought our own. There was dust around, the mirrors hadn’t been cleaned, and there were no mats to dry our feet, so we used one of the towels. The shower was okay. They supplied moisturizer, shower gel, a shower cap, and soap, but I couldn’t trust their quality. Room service was the worst part. We called the receptionist to arrange laundry and were told someone would come soon, but nobody showed up before checkout, even though we returned for lunch. We also asked for help casting our phone screen to the TV, and nobody came for that either. Breakfast was the same every day, and the poha tasted really bad, with something in it we’d never seen before. The food was unappetizing. The rotis were burnt, the sabji was sometimes raw and sometimes overcooked, and once it wasn’t even edible. We expected at least a traditionally or authentically made Hyderabadi biryani, but it was a flop and didn’t taste like Hyderabadi biryani at all.

Our rooms were neat, clean, and well maintained, with impressive hygiene. The food was delicious and the arrangements for our Hyderabad tour were excellent and well planned. Staff were supportive, polite, and cooperative throughout. Special thanks to Chandan Sir for the kind support and coordination that made things comfortable and smooth. We, Shravani Tourism, had a pleasant stay at Hotel Quality Inn, Hyderabad. We appreciate the hospitality and services, and highly recommend it for group tours and comfortable stays.

Staying here brought back memories of our hotel management training in 2005, which we did at this same hotel. It was a great experience to return and meet a few of the old managers and staff.
