The online rating seems out of step with how the hotel is now. I was told it had been good three or four years ago, and that the management had changed recently, but the present condition didn’t match that reputation. The receptionist said the property wasn’t being maintained properly and blamed internal problems and staff shortages. I was told to “adjust.” My room had around 10-15 cockroaches during my stay. The toilet, blankets, and general hygiene were terrible, and it looked like the room hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived. The location is good, but I paid for basic comfort and cleanliness and got the opposite. Guests shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of mismanagement. I strongly advise travelers against booking unless major improvements are made. The stay is likely to be unpleasant and unhygienic.

We left the room at 4 AM because we didn’t feel safe. My girlfriend and I had been woken by a group of drunk people fighting loudly in the corridor around 2:30-3:00 AM and ringing our doorbell. We were too scared to open the door and watched through the peephole as they carried on. I called friends for support because I didn’t trust the manager to handle it. When I asked for CCTV footage to identify who rang our bell, the manager said he couldn’t access it and that only “sir” would check in the morning. Even after a day, they still hadn’t checked the footage. I think they’re all together. There was no security, accountability, or reassurance, and the response felt dismissive. Leaving guests this vulnerable in the middle of the night is unacceptable. Avoid this hotel, especially for girls’ safety.

The location was convenient and the room was clean. Staff were friendly, and I found it good value for money. My stay at OYO was very comfortable.

Apart from the location, there’s nothing good here. The rooms are horrible, rundown, and dated. Water kept running all night, hot water seemed like a myth, and the TV didn’t work. The AC temperature was fixed at 17°C.
