We had a sumptuous lunch, and the place was busy, around 80-90% occupied. They only had a lunch option for the festival. The food was good for the price, especially if you have a hearty appetite. Vegetarian starters included mirch bajji and dal vada; the non-vegetarian options were boti fry, mirchi chicken, and tandoori chicken kebab. There was lassi, lemon juice, and shorba, plus desserts like Bakhshalu, ariselu, Doodhi kheer, banana payasam, moong dal halwa, jilebi, junnu, and cut fruit. The food was decent and not overpriced. The location is very central, with plenty of parking. There are two party areas and a few rooms. It’s accessible for senior citizens, with a lift and just one step at the entrance. A washroom near the seating area has a place to wash your hands. They served only saunf afterward, no paan or chai, though Hyderabadis usually like chai and paan after a heavy meal. Payment was awkward at first. They said the card machine wasn’t working and preferred cash or UPI, which wasn’t under the tourism department’s or hotel’s name. When we insisted, they got the machine working so we could pay by debit card. Still, we had a good experience.

Gopi gave awesome service. The restaurant staff were good, the food was fantastic, and the hotel staff all provided awesome service at the plaza Hotel.

I wouldn’t suggest this hotel to anyone. It’s the worst hotel I’ve seen, more like a hostel, with no maintenance at all. The banquet hall is useless.
