Tropical Retreat Luxury Resort and Spa

For the rates charged, this stay did not justify the cost, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting a true luxury resort. The AC never cooled the room properly during summer, so it stayed uncomfortable throughout. When we reported the technical fault, staff offered no effective fix or alternative. Room service was slow and unhelpful, and it felt like our comfort wasn’t taken seriously. Luxury should include a comfortable stay and professional handling of problems. The surroundings may be beautiful, but the resort fell short on both service and facilities. I hope management takes this seriously and improves them. My experience was extremely disappointing for a place marketed as a luxury destination.

The staff were especially accommodating and helpful, and we’re grateful to Mr. Suraj, one of the managers. We also enjoyed both pools, the regular one and the temperature controlled one, and found the food options good. There are a variety of activities, and it’s very family friendly. The setting is scenic and just a few hours from the big metropolis of Mumbai.

The scenery around Tropical retreat hotel was peaceful and beautiful, making the whole visit relaxing. The kids especially loved the gaming area, one of the trip highlights. There was plenty of delicious food to choose from, and the friendly staff were always ready to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. A perfect family getaway for us, and we’d definitely return.

The room washrooms need renovation, and the property needs better pest control for lizards. Apart from that, it’s a good resort with a nice ambience, helpful staff, and good game options. Breakfast and dinner had a decent spread, and the food was good quality. Special thanks to Erina and Nitin in the restaurant, who were especially happy to help.
